Our vision
A parliament that acts with the highest levels of integrity and workplace standards.
To support the integrity of the Victorian Parliament, maintain public confidence in the institution of parliament, and promote a respectful and safe parliamentary workplace.
We do this by receiving, managing, and resolving allegations of parliamentary misconduct while fostering a culture of respect, equity, and accountability in parliamentary workplaces.
- Integrity: Support the integrity of the parliament so that it meets community expectations.
- Independence: Act free from influence or political bias.
- Effectiveness: Maintain an effective parliamentary standards and integrity regime.
- Accountability: Ensure fair, proportionate and consistent processes for holding elected representatives accountable for their conduct.
- Fairness: Support involvement of all participants in processes, consider all relevant facts impartially and make decisions based on the available information.
- Transparency: be open to public scrutiny.
- Respect and Safety: Promote a safe and respectful parliamentary workplace.
- Receive, manage, and fairly resolve allegations of parliamentary misconduct.
- Foster a culture of respect, equity, and accountability in parliamentary workplaces through engagement, education and training.
- A parliamentary workplace with better standards of behaviour and integrity.
- Parliamentarians are aware of their ethical obligations and workplace standards of behaviour.
- Victorian members of parliament and people who work with them know how to report allegations of parliamentary misconduct.
- Allegations of parliamentary misconduct are dealt with promptly and effectively, in accordance with legislation and our internal processes and guidelines.
We are committed to being timely, fair, impartial, and transparent in performing our functions, in accordance with our guiding principles. This is reflected in our service charter.

- Victorian Members of Parliament, including Ministers, and Parliamentary Secretaries, and the people who work with them including Electorate Officers, Ministerial advisers, and Parliamentary staff.
